Molecular Diagnostics Techniques
Pathology techniques deal with the disease manifestations in the form of morphological changes. Molecular pathology techniques integrate several tools that help in understanding the disease at the molecular level in addition to the traditional pathology. Molecular pathology helps in assessing disease development, prognosis, and management particularly in the field of cancer. Of the several tissue-based techniques for cancer, few remain the gold standard to date owing to the robustness and reliability such as immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, fluorescent in situ hybridization.
BioGenex has been a pioneer in the molecular technique of immunohistochemistry with several contributions such as discovery of Antigen Retrieval technique, which rapidly changed the way FFPE tissues are used for cancer diagnostics. Apart from IHC, BioGenex also supports other molecular diagnostics techniques like in situ hybridization (ISH), Fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH), miRNA-ISH, and immunofluorescence (IF).
